As an Emergency and Critical Care Resident at the University of Pennsylvania Ryan Veterinary Hospital, my primary interests include septic shock and the microcirculation, respiratory pathophysiology and extracorporeal therapies. My dedication to One Health has evolved as a Master of Science in Translational Research graduate student, working alongside our human counterparts at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia investigating pediatric extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Veterinary clinical research also play a major role in my career with current projects focusing on therapeutic plasma exchange, thiamine deficiency in critical illness, and feline fluid resuscitation.
