I joined the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine as an Associate Professor of Oncology and Director of Oncology Clinical Trials in the Fall of 2021. My current research focuses on evaluating cancer pain in dogs and exploring new therapeutic approaches in canine osteosarcoma. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri (MU) for six years and was extensively involved in clinical research at MU’s Veterinary Health Center. We saw hundreds of clinical trial patients annually; 70 dogs with osteosarcoma were enrolled in osteosarcoma specific studies in four years. I completed my medical oncology residency at MU and passed the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine oncology specialty boards in June 2014. I graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010.
