Dr. Wood is a graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.   Dr. Wood finished her residency in medical oncology at Tufts University and then spent several years at the University of Minnesota.  During her time there she participated in clinical research and investigations into feline injection-site sarcomas.  Her career then led to time at a private referral practice outside of Washington, D.C where she was able to continue clinical trials through collaboration with Animal Clinical Investigations.  This collaboration continued during her time at the Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston along with a variety of pharmaceutical company-sponsored trials.    Dr. Wood is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor and Section Head in the Harrington Oncology Program at Tufts University.  She spends time in both medical oncology and clinical trials.   Her special areas of interest include hematologic malignancies, novel therapeutics, and working with industry to develop cancer treatments for companion animals and their owners.
