Katie Mullen received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Cornell University in 2009. She completed a residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at Cornell University in 2014 and she is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She held the position of Instructor of Large Animal Medicine at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, during which time she undertook a study investigating the use of horses as sentinels for human health risks associated with unconventional natural gas development. She was then an Associate Veterinarian in Equine Internal Medicine in private practice. Her current position is Veterinary Postdoctoral Fellow in TISLab at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Center for Health AI. Her research interests lie at the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health and identifying approaches to improve outcomes for all three.
