I obtained my DVM degree in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Kaduna State in 1998 and later proceeded to the University of Ibadan where I obtained Masters of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Parasitology in 2006 and 2015, respectively. My research thrust has been mostly on molecular detection and characterization of apicomplexa parasites especially, Trypanosomas species. I have also characterized species of richettsial (Ehrlichia canis and E. ruminantium of dogs and cattle, respectively). I am currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Parasitology and Entomology in the College of Veterinary Medicine, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta Nigeria where I teach Protozoology, Helminthology and Entomology at undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
