Dr. Ueda received his undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and veterinary degree from Washington State University. Following graduation, he completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at Auburn University followed by a residency in small animal emergency and critical care at the University of California-Davis. He achieved board certification in small animal emergency and critical care in 2015. He then stayed the University of California-Davis as a PhD student while working as a staff veterinarian at the teaching hospital. In 2020, he completed his PhD program and joined the small animal emergency and critical care team at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
