Through a CTSA Innovation Award from NCATS, U01TR002953, COHA is supporting talented veterinary clinician scientists in pursuing research fellowship training after residency. With this cohort, we will have appointed a total of 12 COHA Translational Research Fellows. We hope to continue similar training opportunities through other funding mechanisms moving forward.

Losartan-toceranib immunotherapy to disrupt the osteosarcoma tumor microenvironment and improve fibroblast activation protein (FAP) targeted CAR-T cell therapy in canine metastatic osteosarcoma
Dr. Klosowski will be learning to generate canine CAR T cells and evaluating samples of canine and human patients with lung metastatic osteosarcoma for expression of shared biomarkers.
