The School of Veterinary Medicine, UW-Madison, organizes this workshop, in collaboration with the CTSA One Health Alliance and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, and with financial support from the AKC Canine health Foundation and the ACVIM.

The goal of this workshop is to provide entry-level skills in designing veterinary clinical research studies. This one-and-a-half day short course is aimed at clinical residents in any veterinary specialty. Clinical instructors are also welcome, if their goal is entry-level exposure to clinical research skills.

Topics include framing a research question, choosing the best study design, basic statistical analyses, grantsmanship, and tips for abstract presentations and manuscript writing.
